The GETI GWH03W solar inverter is particularly suitable for use in PV water heating systems.
Save costs and heat water with solar energy today. Thanks to the GETI GWH03W solar inverter with automatic grid switching and the option to independently set the water temperature for PV or AC heating, you can significantly reduce your hot water heating costs.

The inverter developed for PV water heating allows PV panel systems to be used directly to power resistance heating devices such as boilers, heaters, heating mats or heating coils. The inverter is also equipped with an AC input that allows the inverter to be connected to the mains voltage and heat water even when solar radiation is insufficient for heating.

The inverter is equipped with remote control and monitoring via Wi-Fi network and a clear app, a large easy-to-understand LED display, a 3 m temperature sensor and independent temperature setting for heating water from both PV and AC mains. The inverter also has a forced heating function. This function is only available in the app and can be used to activate mains heating if required. The inverter is compatible with most boilers on the market.

Please note: The GETI GWH inverter is only suitable for resistive loads with a bimetal thermostat. It is not suitable for electronically controlled thermostats! The output of the inverter (L, N) must not be connected to the mains or earth! The inverter output must not be connected to a TN-C system.

The system is simple, requiring only the connection of an appropriate number of photovoltaic panels with a maximum output of 4000 W with an operating voltage of 160-420 V DC, a mains voltage of 230 V AC and connection to a resistive load, e.g. heating coil, electric boiler, electric radiator or underfloor heating, and circuit breakers.
The DC current generated in the panels, which cannot be fed directly to the heating equipment, is converted in the inverter into AC current that can be used to power the heating equipment.
The maximum output of the system is 4000 W. The inverter has a priority input from the PV panels and in case of power shortage on these panels, the system is backed up by the 230 V AC grid voltage.

Technical parameters:

  • Switching logic: solar heating takes priority, when the solar input voltage is lower than 100 V DC, the inverter switches to the grid. When the solar input voltage is higher than 150 V DC, the MPPT will start working and supply power.
