TG-LR82 is a configurable LoRaWAN sensor tag designed for demanding IoT deployments. It combines monitoring of temperature, humidity, motion, and events in one compact device with waterproof IP67 rating. The device features a highly accurate NIST-certified temperature sensor TMP116N with typical accuracy of ±0.2 °C (max. ±0.3 °C) in the range of -25 to +85 °C, making it ideal for monitoring temperature-sensitive goods and environments.
The sensor supports LoRaWAN 1.0.4 Class A and B on 868 MHz and 2.4 GHz frequencies, enabling global deployment without regional limitations. The integrated magnetic reed switch allows detection of door, lid, or cabinet openings. Thanks to the 1100 mAh LiMnO2 battery, expected lifetime reaches up to 5 years depending on configuration. The device is designed for seamless cooperation with MikroTik LR8 gateway and modern monitoring platforms.
Intelligent local data processing
TG-LR82 combines environmental and motion sensors with onboard data processing. The device can generate averages or histograms of temperature and humidity before sending telemetry, reducing network traffic while preserving valuable information about environmental conditions. Similar logic can be used for other monitoring scenarios: temperature or humidity thresholds, impact or free fall detection, orientation or tilt monitoring, device and asset activity tracking.
Automation and flexible configuration
The device supports multiple configuration profiles and event-based rules, enabling automatic adaptation to changing conditions. For example, during normal operation, the device can send telemetry data every 6 hours, but after opening a door (triggering the magnetic switch), it automatically switches profiles and starts sending updates every 5 minutes. Configuration is done flexibly via LoRaWAN downlinks using a dedicated configuration tool or integration with platforms like The Things Network (TTN).
Global deployment with 2.4 GHz LoRa
Unlike sub-GHz LoRa bands, which vary by region, 2.4 GHz LoRa can be used globally without frequency switching. Typical range can reach up to 1.5 km depending on the gateway antenna and environment. This makes it a practical choice for mobile assets such as container ships or international logistics systems.
Integration with monitoring platforms
Data from the TG-LR82 sensor can be visualized and analyzed using modern monitoring platforms like Grafana. With MikroTik RouterOS container support, Grafana dashboards can be quickly deployed, enabling visualization of real-time telemetry data and analysis of historical data, including temperature and humidity trends, orientation and activity states, environmental histograms, or battery status and signal strength.
