Extended module for the BMS123 system. Supplied with Molex connectors and cables.
The module adds the following features:
Connect the extended module to the BMS123 Smart OUT board using twisted wire. There is no polarity.
Charging Electric Vehicles
Electric vehicles can be charged at charging stations using the J1772 protocol. The extended module communicates with the charging station and obtains the maximum allowed current. This offered current is then used.
Isolation Detection Function
Battery modules using high voltage must be isolated from electronic power like a 12V battery. It is important to constantly measure the insulation resistance between the high-voltage unit controlled by the BMS and the power supply of this extended module. This can be done through isolation detection.
PC Connection
The extended module is equipped with a USB port for connecting to a PC-based device, not only in the vehicle.
Extended module software consists of various functions:
Monitoring
Displays essential data such as the total module voltage, charge status, and voltage of individual cells.
BMS data
It is necessary to configure global BMS settings, such as minimum cell voltage, maximum cell voltage, and temperatures. All BMS data can also be sent on the CAN bus.
NOTE: BMS DOES NOT USE the minimum voltage, maximum voltage, minimum temperature, and maximum temperature configured by the Bluetooth module.
CAN BUS Messages
The most important BMS data, such as voltage, temperatures, settings, and status, can be sent on the CAN bus. Select the desired CAN bus network (1 or 2) and fill in the initial message ID. BMS sends 8 different CAN bus messages. The first at the initial address (N), the second at N+1, and so on.
Configurable Relays
Four relays can be independently configured based on the day of the week, hysteresis, or Boolean logic. There is also an option for "inverted output" of relays.
