A Comprehensive Solution for Off-grid or Hybrid Solar Systems. This unit can be connected to solar panels with a capacity of up to 700 Wp, a battery, a generator, or the grid, along with appliances, to create a professional 1-phase hybrid/off-grid system.
EasySolar helps increase your energy independence from the grid. It combines an inverter/charger, a solar MPPT controller, and AC power distribution including circuit protection into a single compact device. It is easy to install, space-efficient, and minimizes the required wiring. It intelligently prioritizes the use of generated solar energy and minimizes grid power consumption. It is designed to power single-phase appliances at AC 230 V.
Key Information
Applications
A comprehensive multifunctional solution for residential homes, vacation properties, cottages, and similar setups. The system increases your energy independence by using self-generated electricity and powering appliances even during standard grid power outages.
Comprehensive Description
EasySolar functions as a central unit. It directly connects to photovoltaic panels (the source of solar energy), a battery for energy storage, a grid connection as a backup source, and appliances. All of this without the need to open or complex assembly. Its operation and overall functionality are controlled by internal sophisticated logic.
It is a compact two-in-one device combining an inverter/charger (MultiPlus) and a solar MPPT controller. The inverter/charger directly draws energy from the solar system or the battery, converts it to AC power, and supplies connected 230 V AC appliances. In critical situations (see below), it can also use energy from the grid (or another source, such as a generator). The solar MPPT controller maximizes the amount of energy generated by photovoltaic panels, provides energy to the inverter/charger for appliance power, and stores excess energy in the battery for future use (e.g., during the night).
Basic Operation of EasySolar
EasySolar generates electricity from the sun, uses it directly to power standard 230V appliances, and stores excess energy in the battery for later use. In necessary cases, it can also use grid energy, but it is not functionally dependent on it. It maximally prioritizes the use of self-generated solar energy over grid energy. Grid energy consumption is minimized to the essential amount, only in these situations:
With or Without Feeding Energy to the Grid
If the grid is available, EasySolar can be configured to either feed excess energy back to the grid or not, depending on the settings.
Sophisticated Software
There are multiple software versions available for the integrated inverter/charger, which can be used for various purposes and configurations. The default software used by the manufacturer is the 100 series, where ES acts as a simple UPS – if the grid is available, it uses it to the fullest extent and does not prioritize self-generated solar energy. For sophisticated functionality described above, maximizing solar energy usage and minimizing grid consumption, EasySolar is equipped with a special version from the 300 series with HUB-1 functionality.
Integration of EasySolar
Standard residential homes typically have a 3-phase connection. Individual phases are connected to the main distribution panel, and selected single-phase appliances or circuits are connected to each phase. ES can be easily installed on one chosen phase before entering the main distribution panel. Selected appliances that you want to power primarily with solar energy are connected to that dedicated circuit. After increasing the power capacity, multiple EasySolar units can be connected in parallel. The device is designed as a single-phase unit, but three separate units can be configured to create a 3-phase system if needed.
Performance Characteristics and Features
ES is capable of powering appliances exclusively from the solar system and/or the battery without relying on the grid up to a combined appliance consumption of approximately 1300 W. It is recommended to connect appliances that have a combined power consumption of no more than 1300 W and only occasionally and for a limited time more.
If the appliance consumption exceeds 1300 W and the grid is available simultaneously, EasySolar will start using grid energy to prevent overload. In this state, it tries to draw the maximum energy from the solar system and/or the battery while drawing the minimum required energy from the grid. The connection to the grid is seamless without interrupting the power supply to appliances. When the overload decreases below a certain threshold, typically around 1300 W, grid energy consumption is terminated.
Easy Connection
The entire device is assembly-friendly, with a plug-and-play style. A significant advantage of EasySolar is the internal cable connection between the inverter/charger and the solar MPPT controller to a shared battery, along with circuit protection. This simplifies and speeds up the installation process. All major connections are made in the lower part of EasySolar without the need to open it:
