The MultiPlus-II is a powerful DC-AC hybrid inverter/charger with a pure sine wave output, integrated adaptive battery charger, and ultra-fast transfer switch for power sources - battery/mains (external AC).
The MultiPlus-II combines the features of MultiPlus and MultiGrid
It has all the features of the MultiPlus unit and additionally allows for the connection of an external current sensor for PowerControl and PowerAssist functions with self-consumption optimization.
It also includes all the features of the MultiGrid unit with built-in anti-islanding protection on its AC input – enhanced protection against unwanted supply to the grid in the event of a grid failure.
ESS (Energy Storage System): Energy storage systems
The MultiPlus-II is a key component of the Victron ESS system, providing flexibility for integration with solar MPPT controllers or grid-tied PV inverters.
One AC input
The MultiPlus-II is equipped with one AC input for connection to the grid or, for example, a generator. If two AC inputs are required, the Quattro unit should be chosen.
Two AC outputs
The MultiPlus-II has two AC outputs. The main output AC1 ensures uninterrupted power supply. For example, in UPS mode, the MultiPlus-II takes over the power supply to the connected appliances (within 20 ms) in the event of a grid or generator failure.
The second AC output is functional only when an AC input (grid/generator) is available. Loads that would quickly deplete the batteries, such as a water heater, can be connected to this output and powered only by the AC source.
Four-stage charging with adaptive battery charger and two outputs
The main DC output provides powerful full-rate battery charging through the "adaptive charging" system. The software controls a three-stage automatic charging process to suit the battery's state, and adds a fourth charging stage - maintenance charging. The MultiPlus-II is designed to charge all types of lead-acid, alkaline, and lithium batteries.
Three-phase operation
Three units of the same type can be configured for three-phase operation with phase shift.
