After order for moths
Version: 490-00000-52 (2 cores, RSS transmitter, DIN rail)
The RSS transmitter can only be ordered together with compatible optimizers in a ratio of 1:30 or higher.
The Tigo RSS (Rapid Shutdown System) Transmitter complements a cost-effective rapid shutdown system architecture in conjunction with UL-certified Tigo fire safety solutions - including TS4-A-F (add-on), TS4-A-2F (add-on for two modules). The RSS transmitter sends a signal via PLC (Power Line Communication) to the TS4-F units to keep the photovoltaic modules connected when power is on. The TS4-F units automatically transition to rapid shutdown mode when the RSS transmitter is powered off, and resume energy production when the RSS transmitter is powered on again. The RSS transmitter with Pure Signal technology can interconnect multiple RSS transmitters, enabling one coordinated keep-alive signal to the power plant to maximize signal integrity, even in large and complex solar installations. This solution complies with NEC 2014, 2017, and 2020 690.12 specifications for rapid shutdown using Power Line Communication (PLC). Available with Pure Signal technology for multi-transmitter systems, as a kit, DIN rail, or PCBA for integration into inverters.
The Tigo RSS transmitter, available as a module or PCBA, is part of the module-level rapid shutdown solution in conjunction with Tigo TS4-A-F/2F MLPE. The RSS transmitter interconnects with multiple RSS transmitters and mitigates interference using Tigo's Pure Signal technology, which synchronizes one coordinated keep-alive signal for multiple arrays.
Each transmitter uses Power Line Communication (PLC) to send a keep-alive signal to the MLPE devices through one or two cores. Each core accommodates up to 10 photovoltaic string conductors (negative or positive only).
