The new generation of MPPT controllers from the XTRA-N G3 BLE series with built-in Bluetooth is ideal for off-grid systems with panel voltage up to 100V and a maximum charging current of 20A. Compatible with 12/24V batteries, PV max 260/520 Wp.
This solar charge controller is suitable for a wide range of off-grid applications, such as cottages, homes, etc. It is also suitable for use in vehicles due to the option of negative grounding.
The MPPT controller features an integrated multifunction display for easy system monitoring and adjustment of operating parameters, including indicator LEDs.
Built-in Bluetooth allows monitoring and configuration of the controller without the need for additional components.
The controller works as a converter, meaning it can convert higher input voltage and lower current into lower voltage/higher current with high efficiency. Practically any solar panel can be used. The controller is compatible with lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries.
The solar controller is equipped with the latest MPPT (Maximum PowerPoint Tracking) technology – an advanced tracking algorithm ensures the solar module operates at the ideal voltage to achieve the highest possible power output. Compared to traditional PWM controllers, MPPT technology increases charging efficiency by approximately 30%.
The maximum charging current to the battery for this model is 20A, which corresponds to a panel power of 260 Wp for a 12V battery or 520 Wp for a 24V battery. If the panel provides more power, the controller will limit it to its nominal maximum. PV panel power must not exceed 1.5 times the controller’s rated power!
Solar panels can be connected in series, but their open-circuit voltage (Voc) must never exceed 100V – exceeding this value will permanently damage the controller. (Note: as ambient temperature drops, panel voltage increases. The specified Voc is based on 25°C, so it is recommended to keep Voc below 90V.)
Controller parameters (especially battery type) can be set using the integrated LCD (model XDS2), an external display (MT52, not included), or via built-in Bluetooth.
