The new generation of MPPT controllers of the XTRA-N G3 BLE series with built-in Bluetooth is ideal for off-grid systems with panel voltage up to 100 V and a maximum charging current of 20 A. 12/24 V batteries, PV max 260/520 Wp.
This solar controller is suitable for a wide range of off-grid applications, such as cottages, homes, etc. It is also suitable for use in vehicles thanks to the ability to ground to the negative pole.
A multifunctional display is integrated directly into the MPPT controller for easy system monitoring and setting of operating parameters, including LED indicators.
Built-in Bluetooth connection allows monitoring and configuring the controller without the need for additional components.
The controller works as a converter, meaning it can process higher input voltage and lower current into lower voltage/increased current with high efficiency. This allows the use of practically any solar panel. The controller is compatible with lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries.
The solar controller is equipped with the latest MPPT technology (Maximum PowerPoint Tracking) – tracking the point of maximum power using an advanced algorithm, ensuring that the solar module operates at the optimal voltage for maximum available performance. Compared to a conventional PWM controller, MPPT technology increases charging efficiency by approximately 30%.
The maximum charging current to the battery of this model is 20 A, which corresponds to a panel output of 260 Wp with a 12V battery or 520 Wp with a 24V battery. If the panel delivers higher power, the controller will simply limit it to its rated max output. The PV panel output must not exceed 1.5 times the nominal controller rating!
You can connect solar panels in series, but their open circuit voltage (Voc) must never exceed 100 V – exceeding this value will permanently damage the controller (note that panel voltage increases as ambient temperature drops, and the specified Voc is given at 25 °C. Therefore, it is recommended not to exceed 90 V Voc in real-world use).
Controller parameter settings (especially battery type) are configured via the built-in LCD (XDS2), an external MT52 display (not included), or the built-in Bluetooth.
