EPEVER XTRA1210N-XDS2

The EPEVER XTRA1210N-XDS2 is a user-friendly MPPT charge controller designed to manage the energy flow from a solar panel or power source to batteries and loads. It operates with 12V or 24V systems and supports currents up to 10A. The maximum input voltage is 100V. This new generation of XTRA solar controllers builds upon the TracerA series, enhancing the MPPT algorithm for improved performance under rapid shading changes and providing direct support for LiFePO4 batteries. Support for lead-acid/GEL/AGM batteries is also included.

This solar controller is suitable for a wide range of off-grid applications such as cottages and homes. It is also ideal for use in vehicles due to the option for negative grounding. The MPPT controller includes a built-in multifunctional display for easy system monitoring and configuration, with LED indicators for quick status updates. While most parameters can be set via the display, custom battery settings require the use of additional accessories.

The maximum charging current to the battery of this model is 10A, corresponding to a panel output of 130 Wp for a 12V battery or 260 Wp for a 24V battery. If the panel exceeds this output, the controller will limit it to its maximum. The power of the solar panels must not exceed 1.5 times the controller's nominal power!

The open-circuit voltage (Voc) must never exceed 100V – exceeding this value will permanently damage the controller. Keep in mind that as the ambient temperature decreases, the voltage of the solar panel increases, and the Voc value provided in the solar panel specifications is at 25°C. We recommend keeping the Voc below 90V.

The controller settings can be configured using the built-in LCD (in the highest XDS2 version) or an external display like the MT50 (see below).

The main advantage is the use of advanced MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) technology, which increases the efficiency of the entire system by 30% or more. The MPPT technology ensures maximum utilization of energy supplied by the PV panel by selecting the working point with the maximum output power. This point is continuously monitored and maintained, compensating for all effects of temperature, varying light intensity, etc.

Quick Installation:

  • Connect the battery to the solar controller. Install a suitably rated DC fuse on the positive wire as close to the battery pole as possible (position 3).
  • Connect the load (position 4).
  • Connect the solar panel (position 2).
